Hydroxylradikaler \u00e4r bland de mest kraftfulla oxidanterna som finns tillg\u00e4ngligt. Ibland anv\u00e4nds \u00e4ven ozon i kombination med ultraviolett (UV) ljus eller v\u00e4teperoxid (H<sub>2<\/sub>O<sub>2<\/sub>) f\u00f6r att skapa hydroxylradikaler. Synergier uppst\u00e5r, &#8221;1 + 1 = 3&#8221;, vilket g\u00f6r kombinationen effektivare \u00e4n att anv\u00e4nda varje f\u00f6r sig separat i serie.
